The snow keeps falling, and our students and teachers are taking the chance to enjoy it! Classes have been skiing and skating in their P.E. lessons, we have had a Winter Sports Day with a host of different activities, and our Year 8 students have spent a full day hiking and skiing, building shelters and cooking food outdoors.
We have also had a lot of exciting indoor activities lately, such as our anti-bullying Pink Week. Each year group has also enjoyed guest speakers on different topics. Khazar Fatemi, TV journalist, has once again visited our Year 9s to speak about her work in conflict areas. The Year 8s have had several speakers on the topics of equality and LGBT issues. The Year 7s, on the other hand, enjoyed a fun-filled and active session with author Tom Palmer, who came all the way from England to visit us.
I hope everyone will enjoy an active and relaxing winter sports break!
