Greetings to you all!

The school year is  running quickly and the winter sports break is here.

The School inspection has been here and of course we have a few things we can improve but when one of the inspectors  turned to me and said that this was the best school she ever had seen when it comes to the environment in the class room.

I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart and I can tell you this was not the first school she  had visited. 

Otherwise the year continues with a lot of activities.

The Junior students have had days in Hemlingby and for the Senior students; Sportsday and the LAN party is coming up week 8.

We are also planning to have parent nedring on the 14th of March with meetings  with mentor in class rolls first and then a lecture from an outside lecturer.

Nytt år, nya krafter!

Jag skulle vilja ta tillfället i akt att välkomna alla elever tillbaka till en ny termin på IES i Gävle. Sedan skolan öppnades år 2003 har Internationella Engelska Skolan i Gävle blivit en av Gävles populäraste skolor med elever i årskurs 4-9 placerade i två moderna skolbyggnader. Read more

A Season's Greeting to One and All

A Season's Greeting to One and All At all schools the weeks running up to the Christmas break are very busy, and ours is of course no exception. There is a huge variety of activities taking place this week and next, from Lucia and putting up decorations, to grades and assessments to award ceremonies and so on. Before we know it the term will be over and students will be able to enjoy a well earned rest. Academically we have reached a high level. International day & Northern Conference at IESG

The Indian summer air of October and the colors of autumn are refreshing and welcome. Here at Internationella Engelska Skolan in Gävle the start of the school year has gone smoothly. Students enjoyed meeting old and new friends, building relationships in the new classes and welcoming the challenge of new educational paths to follow. The Senior building has a fantastic new gym and  both staff and students are enjoying its resources. The Junior building has a great schoolyard and last week we had the rubber mat fixed outside. Dear Parents and Students

I am pleased to announce that I will take on the role as Principal at Internationella Engelska Skolan i Gävle from August 2011. This is an exciting time to become Principal at IESG as the school is developing and growing once again.  Students at the senior school next year will be able to use more classrooms, a new science lab and a new gym. Those at the junior school will benefit from more books in their library and more activities for those who attend our junior club. Read more
